6th Annual PSM Symposium
Wednesday, March 8, 2006

Powder/Material Processing

The Particle Society of Minnesota will hold its 6th annual symposium on Wednesday, March 8, 2005, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., at the Grand Rios hotel located on the northeast corner of I694 and County 81 in Brooklyn Park, MN. The program this year will feature talks on particle and material processing. General topics will include:

  • "Blending and Segregation and Their Affects on Product Quality" - Jenike & Johanson
  • "Pneumatic Conveying Methods" - Nol-Tec Systems, Inc.
  • "Wet Grinding of Dispersions and Slurries" - Buhler, Inc
  • "Indirect Thermal Treatment of Solids and Slurries" - Bepex International, LLC
  • "Spray Drying Processes" - Niro, Inc.
  • "Inline Air Classification" - Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems

The agenda will include blocks of time in the morning, afternoon and at the end for attendees to view the vendors' exhibits, as well as access to the attendee list. The general registration fee for the vendor exhibits will be $350.00/table, which includes a table top space located in an area reserved for vendor displays and admission for one person. Reduced admission for one additional person and access to a broad gathering of our membership are further benefits.

The Particle Society Annual Program is a great place to meet other scientists and engineers working in particle related fields. Our membership includes scientists and engineers with diverse technical backgrounds, and represents several of the region's leading particle processing companies.

Focus on Powder/Material Processing

Another feature of the program is the opportunity to speak with vendors from around the industry who will have tabletop displays of their products and services related to these topics and more. The registration fee for this event will be $150.00 in advance or $175.00 after February 10th, 2006. Registration for students is $40.00. Registration includes a complete program information packet with a list of attendees and contact information, access to our speakers and vendors in this field, a formal sit-down lunch and continental breakfast.
